Ruben a quick thinking Dutch cyclist, barely escaped death as he was peddling through Amsterdam during Monday's (10/28/2013) storm.

As he approached a tree was uprooted when hit by gale force winds in Amsterdam city. Fortunately Ruben survived this terrible accident, which was caught on cell phone.

Only by making an instant decision to veer his bicycle to the left did he avoid the falling tree. Had he decided otherwise, Ruben would almost certainly not have been able to re-tell this very remarkable story.

And that’s exactly what Ruben did, while visiting the place where Monday’s accident took place - giving the viewers the story about his incredible escape from death.
