London Thinking of Controversial Summer Olympics Safety Plan

There is already controversy surrounding the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. It centers on how the city plans to keep people safe.

The British Military may install surface-to-air missiles on the roof of apartment buildings. Residents got leaflets this week notifying them that testing will begin. Six missile sites are being considered. Each of those sites would have about 10 troops stationed at it, but residents fear those sites would be targets for terrorists.

Security experts said the plan is necessary to prevent a 9-11 style attack. If it goes forward, it would be the first time since World War Two that missiles are deployed in London.
