Tropical Cyclone Phailin is gathering strength in the Bay of Bengal.
It's expected to make landfall later this afternoon somewhere neat Odisha and Andhra Pradesh states.
Phailin has sustained winds of 155 miles-per-hour with gusts up to 190 miles-per-hour.
The India meteorological department is warning Phailin is a "very severe cyclonic storm."
The agency is urging the evacuation of coastal areas.
