Day two of the G8 summit in France is just getting under way.
And Libya, the middle east, Japan's earthquake and the global economy are among the pressing issues the presidents and prime ministers are discussing.
The leaders of France, Russia and the United States strode into the first of two days of meetings at the coastal resort town of Doughville on Thursday.
The group of eight asked Russia to try to mediate a resolution to the conflict in Libya.
The members also expressed support for earthquake-ravaged Japan and hailed the capture on Thursday of Serbian war crimes suspect Radko Mladic.
The new leaders of Tunisia and Egypt arrived at the summit on day two.
That's because much of the discussion is focused on the popular uprisings in North Africa and the middle east and how the world's big economies can support them.
And they plan to do that with billions of dollars.
