Forecasters Predict Relatively Quiet Hurricane Season (AM Version)

The USA could have a quiet hurricane season this year!

Meteorologists Philip Klotzbach and William Gray at Colorado State University predict nine tropical storms will form, but only three will become hurricanes.

Klotzbach says a predicted el Niño is one factor that led to their quiet forecast.

The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30.
