In the Pacific, Tropical Depression Fabio is expected to continue weakening and lose its tropical characteristics later today.
As of 2:00am Pacific Daylight Time, Tropical Depression Fabio was still weakening. Sustained winds in the storm are only at 35 miles per hour, and it continues moving to the north at ten miles per hour.
Fabio’s location as of 2am Pacific was about 580 miles to the south-southwest of San Diego, California.
Although it is only a Tropical Depression, Fabio could still cause swells on the coasts of Baja California and southern portions of the state of California. This means potentially dangerous rip currents could possibly be found in those areas.
Other than that, Fabio poses no significant danger to land.
