A 40-year-old woman whose hair measures in at 2.2 meters long has attracted wide-eyed glances in northeast China's Heilongjiang province.
Wang Haiyan, a resident of the city of Gitaihe, has been growing her hair since 1991, when she was 18.
The 2.2-meter-long hair is a full 57 centimeters longer than Wang's height.
Wang said she normally spends one hour washing her hair, and even longer time to dry and tie it back up. She washes it every two weeks.
Although she sometimes struggles to wash and tie her hair in a bun, Wang said she never thinks about getting a haircut, and will continue to let it grow.
"I like my hair. My hair quality is extremely good. It grows fast, and I don't want to get a haircut, so I've been keeping it until now," Wang said
