Australian Student Pilot Makes Two-Wheel Landing

A trainee pilot has been praised for his cool handling of an emergency landing of his light plane, after a wheel fell off.

The 21 year- old was forced to circle the Mangalore Airport for five hours to burn off fuel.

But when the time came, the landing went surprisingly smoothly.

The student, who speaks English as a second language, was talked down by his instructor in Chinese to avoid confusion.

The wheel fell off the Piper Warrior, just after take off.
