According to a report by the New York Times, Al Gaeda was not behind the deadly September 11th, 2012 attack on the US compound in Benghazi, Libya.
It calls into question republican accusations and whether officials with the Obama administration were part of a cover-up of the incident.
However, the newspaper says the administration's version of the attack isn't exactly right either.
The report says Benghazi wasn't infiltrated by Al Gaeda, but says there were local threats to American interests.
It adds that while the attack wasn't meticulously planned, it wasn't spontaneous.
