After Heat Wave, Snow in Australia

Extreme temperatures have hit Victoria, Australia where it is currently summertime.

A cold outbreak dropped several inches of snow following record summer highs.

While it's not unusual to have a cold outbreak in Victoria this time of year, forecasters say the contrast is extreme.

The snow follows very hot temperatures with November records broken across the state late last week.

The hot weather will return by Saturday.
