ACAPULCO, Mexico (AP) - Authorities in Mexico say gunmen have kidnapped 20 men who were traveling together in the Pacific coast resort city of Acapulco.
A state investigative official says the men were visiting Acapulco from the western city of Morelia and were looking for a place to stay when they were abducted on Thursday.
Witnesses say the kidnapped men range in age from 17 to 47. They were taken by an armed gang that drove them away in the four cars
in which the group had been traveling. Police later found the cars abandoned near the kidnapping site.
Meanwhile, Mexican newspapers report that a shootout between drug gangs left 14 people dead in remote town in the northern state of Durango.
