It's time to hit the lanes at rose hill senior center.
An alley? Nah.
Bowling balls and shoes? You won't find them.
All they need... Is this.
"It allows some of our seniors to be very active and bowl the games they've always wanted to bowl, and haven't been able to since," debbie reed said. She is the manager at rose hill senior center.
Spares and strikes are great.
But they aren't the priority.
"This is one of the best things that i have found so far that gets them up out of the chair and gets them up and they're active," reed said.
In fact a recent study shows seniors who play video games like Wii bowling can prevent mental decline.
If you ask James Johnson... There's another bonus.
"if you don't do anything you continually drop," he said. "the more active you are, the more active you can stay and that helps you physically, and me mentally also."
"When you get to be 80 years old it doesn't take much to stiffen up, ya know?" fellow bowler Mac McSween said.
Ok... Benefits are great. But bragging rights? Those are much better to these folks.
“It can get competitive...it's more fun than anything else because you get to play with other people and get to trash talk a little."
And the trash talk got loud when Joe Harris...bowled a perfect game.
The perfect part for him? His name on top of the high scores list.
"I believe it'll be up there for awhile," he said.
James Johnson wants to see his name on the top of that same list.
"I'm gonna get him. I'm gonna get him,” Johnson said. “I'm coming for ya."
If you couldn't tell by now... These people have fun... Even with all the health and competitive talk.
"This generates a lot of excitement...a lot of laughter coming from this room," Reed said.
And they plan to keep that laughter going for a long, long time.
