Over the last few weeks, elementary students from Wicksburg have been collecting stuffed animals.

It was all part of the National Hug A Bear program.

Thursday, students presented Houston County Sheriff deputies with more than 150 stuffed animals.

The toys will be given to children who are going through a difficult time.

Deputies say they will be kept in the back of patrol cars, ambulances and fire trucks.

School officials say it was part of their Spirit of Service day.
