Every Wednesday, News 4 This Morning takes a look at the stories from our show that viewers and readers are talking about on our webchannel and related social media.

On Tuesday, in our 4 Your Health segment, we discussed a story about pets that share beds with their owners. According to a survey from the American Pet Products Association, over half sleep with their dogs and cats. Several viewers gave us feedback on this through our Facebook page. People such as Johnny Cox simply said “Yes,” and others like Christina Peters and Jennifer Lairmore responded “no.” Others like Lisa Tomlinson elaborated a bit saying, “More like they share it with me. LOL.” And, Kimberly Henderson also said, “absolutely...they are part of my family.Love my puppies.”

In our Monday morning broadcast, we reported on the damaging flooding that was affecting parts of the country stretching from Tennessee to North Dakota. This flooding was caused by a variety of factors from heavy rain to snow melt. At one point, it was the most popular article in our news section, and as of early Wednesday morning, was still the most popular article in our National News section.

The most popular article in our News section for the past several days has been a story we first told you about on April 5th. Star Trek fans had created a petition to bring back the last Star Trek series to air, Enterprise, for a new fifth season through video streaming service Netflix. That petition now has over 5,100 supporters on Facebook and continues to grow in support. And, it seems like new fans are discovering the series as well. On our webchannel, user xzvs says, “I discovered this show on Netflix, it's really good, of definitely be down for more.” And, Jake also commented on WTVY.com, saying, “I really think this show would have done better if the opening theme song wasn't so terrible. It should have be instrumental like the rest of the series. Instead, it was possibly the worst song that I have ever heard. Once I got past this, I realized the rest of the show as actually pretty good.”

Every Tuesday, we highlight notable home video releases hitting shelves that week on Blu-Ray and DVD. As of Wednesday morning, that article is the second most popular in our news section and the most popular in our Watercooler section. Those included releases of “Star Trek: The Next Generation” and “My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.” On our Facebook page, Jarrod Cooper replied to the story with, “Star Trek: The Next Generation' Season Three has one of the most notable cliffhangers in television history. I will be getting it [Tuesday] morning.” The story was also re-tweeted and favorited on Twitter by several users such as Pond Williams, SMOR3S, and Spenser brown.

And, each Friday, we put together a collection of the funniest and goofiest times of the past week of the morning show in our “Morning Moments” segment. At one time, that was one the most popular articles on the site, and one of the most popular in our Watercooler section. On the Morning Show’s own Facebook page, Janis Dawkins commented on one of the recent videos of Morning Moments, simply, “Love the moments!” And, Michael McClean added, “They are all great! You guys have fun on that show.”
