Dale County is one step closer to getting the tag renewal line moving.
Yesterday the commission approved the purchase of equipment for two satellite offices.
They are working to open them two days a week in Daleville and Midland City or Pinckard.
The Dale County Revenue Commissioner has been working on this for a year, so she is glad to see it is moving forward.
Dale Co. Revenue Commissioner Eleanor Outlaw said, “It is going to help with the long lines that we are having in the courthouse and it is going to take some of the traffic out of the hall. People won’t have to drive as far.”
Outlaw said the offices could be up and running by April.
