It's a day to celebrate that sweet treat you get to eat after finishing off the main course...or it can be your main course, if you prefer—the dessert!

National Dessert Day is a day to enjoy cookies, candy, cakes, cinnamon rolls, or whatever you enjoy eating that's sweet or a dessert.

This holiday is not officially recognized by Congress, and falls on October 14th in 2013.
