Troy Police Make Two Drug Arrests

Troy Police made two arrests on Friday, July 6th in connection with crimes related to drugs.

The first to be arrested on the 6th was Victoria Paul. Paul, a 19-year-old black female, was arrested on an outstanding warrant around 2:00pm in the afternoon. The arrest took place on Aster Avenue.

She is charged with possession of marijuana in the first degree. This was in connection with an incident that occurred the day before.

Later that day, Troy Police also arrested Stephen Michael Rushing. This arrest happened around 7:00pm. Troy Police officers, in conjunction with members of the 12th Judicial Task Force, executed a search warrant for drugs at a residence on Pike County Road 7721.

Officers took a green plant material that later tested positive for marijuana. In addition, two glass pipes were seized that had residue on them.

Rushing is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana in the second degree.
