When: Beginning at approximately 7 a.m., Tuesday, April 16, and continuing through the day;
Where: Two locations on State Route 27 – between mile posts 0 & 1 in Clay County and between mile posts 13 & 14 in Early County;
What: Having completed the widening of State Route 27 from two to four lanes, contractors for the Georgia Department of Transportation will shift traffic into its permanent lane configuration. Weather permitting; the shift will be completed in one day. Final striping and shoulder work on the project will continue after the shift is complete; thus, motorists are reminded to pay special attention to traffic control devices, signs and posted speed limits to ensure safe passage through the work zone.
