New York, NY: May 4, 2014 Crocs celebrated the launch of their new Star Wars kids collection on national Star Wars Day, highlighted by a Stormtrooper performance in front of their flagship store on 34th street in New York City. Dozens of kids and parents crowded the street to get a view of the Stormtrooper performance, created by YouTube sensations Scott & Brendo, and then entered the store where the fun continued and kids tried on the new Star Wars clogs. Two lucky winners took home a giant Crocs Stormtrooper clog.
"Crocs is excited to launch our new Star Wars line, and there is no better day to do so than the unofficial holiday for Star Wars fans of all ages, May the Fourth Be With You," says Andy Sackmann, Crocs' Chief Marketing Officer. Fans were thrilled as the Stormtroopers showed off their dance moves and posed for pictures with kids. Music duo Scott & Brendo's Stormtroopers have more than 4 million views on YouTube with their "Stormtrooper Secrets" music video.
