Imagine life without lights and the internet.

That's what some households in parts of Minnesota had to deal with for nearly 80 hours thanks to a downed power line.

To make matters worse, the residents couldn't leave the neighborhood.

Power was the least of the worries for these two who have had a live power line dangling in their front yard. It was blocking them and their neighbors in for three days.

This crew visiting all the way from St. Louis, Missouri worked 17 hour shifts to get the power back on.

A few houses down, neighbors used their own chainsaws to clear a tree that was also blocking the road.

The road no longer blocked.

This community no longer isolated.

Officials with Minnesota X-Cel Energy say tens of thousands of residents are still without power from Friday's storms.
