Shots Fired into Atlanta Area Homes Injure 4 Kids

ATLANTA (AP) -- One child has been killed and three injured by gunmen firing into homes in the Atlanta area in the last month. No one has been arrested.

Atlanta police spokesman Carlos Campos tells The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the children were not targets; adults in the homes were.

The shootings began Nov. 3 when someone fired through the door of a home on Atlanta's southside, killing 2-year-old Ty-Teyanna Motley and injuring her infant brother, Isaiah Motley.

Then on Nov. 13, 8-year-old Ahijah Geffard was injured by one of six bullets fired into a home in Fairburn.

Then on Nov. 27, an Atlanta man ran into his apartment to get away from a robber with a shotgun. A shot was fired into the home, striking the man's 11-year-old daughter in the leg.
