Savannah Cookie Controversy Makes "Jeopardy!"

SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) -- A cookie controversy from Savannah's recent past made for sweet trivia for contestants on the game show "Jeopardy!"

The show's final clue Thursday was: In 2011 the city of Savannah granted an exemption allowing the sale of these items outside Juliette Gordon Low's birthplace. Two contestants gave the correct response: What are Girl Scout Cookies?

Savannah made headlines in 2011 when a zoning administrator blocked Girl Scouts from selling cookies outside the Low house, saying they had violated a city ordinance banning sidewalk sales. City Hall granted an exemption after being widely criticized.
