Good news for Ozark’s economy. Sales tax revenue saw a 10 percent jump for April, compared to the same time last year.
More than $540,000 in sales tax came into the city. This is the largest amount spanning that month since 2008.
Ozark Mayor Billy Blackwell said, "Certainly it brings us at a point in our budget where we are in good shape. We are a little bit above what we budgeted. We are still not overall back to where we were in 2008 but we are making a tremendous comeback.”
These numbers also prove to be the third sales tax hike this year.
