Houston County schools have a new school resource officer.
Lt Randy Anderson is now walking through schools on a daily basis, to make sure everything is running smoothly.
The sheriff’s office placed Anderson there after the Connecticut school shooting.
"The sheriffs realized the stronger need to have added security to enforce what we needed to do for the school systems and to protect our most valued asset which is the children of Houston County." Lt Randy Anderson said.
Anderson spent 10-years as a resource officer before hitting the streets.
He says he's happy to be back in the schools.
