The Presidential Candidates may have left Ohio after recent campaign stops, but fans of the latest animated incarnation of “My Little Pony” are just arriving.
They are there for the latest in a large series of conventions dedicated to “My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic,” a smash hit.
It’s not only a hit with its target audience of young girls, but with adults of all ages as well, many of who go by the term Bronies, a combination of bro and pony.
The “Canterlot Gardens” convention, named for the fictional kingdom in the series ruled by Princesses Celestia and Luna, takes place in Strongsville, Ohio starting today and running through Sunday.
This is the latest in a wide string of “Pony” conventions that have ranged from New York (Bronycon), Illinois (Midwestria), Texas (Brony Fan Fair) and more.
“Canterlot Gardens” will have many special guests from the show including voice actors such as Tara Strong, Michelle Creber and Cathy Weseluck, along with writers such Meghan McCarthy and Amy Keating Rogers.
