Police: Man Throws Manhole Cover through Business Window

The Dothan Police Department arrested a resident after he allegedly threw a manhole cover through the window of a closed business.

According to a press release from the Dothan Police Department, William Patrick Baughman, 32, of East Saunder Road, through the cover through the ‘84 East’ food-mart and then entered the business and took two cases of beer.

Police responded to the 2900 block of East Main Street following the incident. Baughman was seen running towards a nearby motel, he was later located by police and arrested.

Baughman is charged with third degree burglary. His bond has been set at $15,000.
