Police: Man Found in Possession of Stolen Goods and Items to Make Meth Lab

The Wiregrass Violent Crimes and Drug Task Force and Investigators with the Ozark Police Department arrested an Ozark man after executing a search warrant.

The search warrant was for a home on East Broad Street. While at the residence, police seized electronics, jewelry, clothing and silver which was reported stolen from recent residential burglaries. Agents also seized items used in the manufacturing of methamphetamines as well as a methamphetamine lab.

Timothy Burgess, 44, of Ozark was arrested following the search. He was charged with receiving stolen property, second degree manufacturing of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Burgess was placed in the Dale County Jail without bond. The investigation continues, additional charges may be forthcoming.
