Police in Mobile say they have found the body of a man killed days earlier in a shooting in Fairhope.

Reports say detectives discovered the body of Donald Jefferson Howard on Friday near the intersection of Telegraph Road and Bay Bridge cut off road.

Police say Howard was killed days before they uncovered his body.

A 17-year-old witness told investigators Howard had been shot to death, prompting police to gather evidence at a mobile home in Fairhope.

Two people have been charged in connection with the slaying.

Immanuel Charles Jenkins has been arrested on a capital murder charge.

Another man, Jamon Lawrence, was charged with hindering a prosecution.

Authorities say an autopsy will be performed on Howard’s body by the department of forensic science in mobile
