TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) -- A shuttered armory in Tuscaloosa could be the site of the city's newest park, though the plan is just a proposal at this point.
The Tuscaloosa News reports that a plan to use the former Armed Forces Reserve Center on 10th Avenue as a university facility to house school-owned vehicles is no longer moving forward.
Authorities say that opens the possibility for the site to be used as a new park and green space.
