Oil Spill Hearing Scheduled for Panhandle

PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) -- A U.S. Senate committee is planning a hearing in the Florida Panhandle about recovery from the massive 2010 BP oil spill.

The Senate announced Wednesday that the Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship hearing will be held July 11 at Pensacola State College. Louisiana Democrat Mary Landrieu chairs that committee.

Among those scheduled to testify are Florida Lt. Gov. Jennifer Carroll and representatives of the Pensacola Bay Area Chamber of Commerce and the fishing industry.
