Video game giant Nintendo is offering gamers a limited-time discount of a home version of an arcade classic.
The original Nintendo version of Donkey Kong is available for download through the Wii U’s Virtual Console service for just 30 cents as part of an anniversary celebration.
30 years ago, the Nintendo Family Computer, or Famicom, launched in Japan. It would be a hit, and sweep the United States and other parts of the world as the Nintendo Entertainment System.
Like many systems at the time, home versions of arcade hits were big sellers. This included the Nintendo hit Donkey Kong, one of the very first platformers, which introduced the titular character along with video game icon, Mario.
