22 states are joining the National Rifle Association’s (NRA) efforts to overturn a federal gun law.
Alabama Attorney General Luther Strange filed a brief last week, supporting the NRA’s attempt. The group wants a federal court to strike down a law, which restricts the sale of handguns to people under the age of 21.
Strange says many states already allow young adults to purchase guns legally. The lawsuit is now before the US Supreme Court. A federal appeals court upheld the law in October of last year.
