Atlanta, GA., December 10, 2012 - Former Republican Congressional Candidate and State Representative Mike Keown qualified to run for State Senate today. Keown's existing political infrastructure and experience are already giving the campaign a huge advantage.
Since announcing on Friday, Team Keown:
-Has raised over $20,000 in two days
-Has County Chairs confirmed in all 8 counties in the district
-Has received positive press coverage from 11th district media outlets
-Has received the support of key leaders from across the district

Senate District 11 includes the counties of Colquitt, Decatur, Early, Grady, Miller, Mitchell, Seminole and Thomas. Keown has appeared on the ballot or served in elected office in 7 of these 8 counties and carried these counties with 62% of the vote during his 2010 bid for Congress.
