Tough economy or not, plans for the Southeast Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine keep moving forward.

Today officials unveiled a plan that's making sure plans for the college don't stop.

That plan is the Capital Campaign.

It’s a 6.6 million dollar fund set up to meet the needs of the ACOM and the Southeast Alabama Medical Center.

Movers and shakers on board with the project came up with it last fall.

Individuals and businesses in the community have answered, to the tune of over 2.5 million dollars in donations.

That means the foundation has reached 63 percent of their goal already.
