Caryn Blighton Kaufman of Greenwood, FL, has been charged with: Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Xanax, and Possession of drug paraphernalia.
On 01/18/2013, Officers with the Marianna Police Department responded to the MERE complex on Caverns Road in reference to a fight in progress, upon officer’s arrival they began speaking with all parties involved. While speaking with the people involved in the disturbance officers could smell a strong odor of burnt marijuana. Officer had a K9 unit respond to the scene and the K9 alerted to the vehicles in which the people drove to the scene. A search of Kaufman’s vehicle turned up several items of paraphernalia used to ingest narcotics along with a quantity of methamphetamine, and xanax pills. Kaufman was placed under arrest and transported to JCCF to await first appearance.
