BLAKELY -- The sunshine provided a bright background for the 43rd Kolomoki Festival at the Kolomoki Mounds State Historic Park.

Native American demonstrators, vendors and much entertainment provided weekend fun for visitors from all over the tri-state.

The Kolomoki Mounds staff said they look forward to the event all year.

"It's our way of giving back to the community," Assistant Manager at Kolomoki Mounds State Park Valerie Fox said. "The community has always been very supportive of the park so we like to sponsor this event to give back so they can come back and enjoy the park."

The state park has been operating for the past 75 years.
