DOTHAN--The children from Cloverdale Elementary School presented the Houston Love Memorial Library with a check for $652.50 Friday morning.
The students raised the money through selling popsicles at recess.
The money will go towards the building fund for the new library.
"They did public service announcements every morning on the intercom for the entire school, reminded them that they would be at their recess selling popsicles and that it was going to a worthy cause," said Cloverdale Elementary Principal Aneta Walker
The students collected the money in 9 days.
