On a day when most people looked to unite our nation, one neighborhood faced a group looking to divide it.

Monday, residents living in the Highland South neighborhood found fliers in their driveways and along sidewalks urging them to join the racist hate group, the Ku Klux Klan.

Army soldier Dan Diaz found one in his mailbox. He says the act is repulsive.

“I served 20 years in the united states army, honorably, multiple combat tours... And when i see something like this by some radicalism, extremist organization, especially on today, I get very upset, very offended.” Diaz added.

There is a number attached to the flier.

However, Police say unless the people putting them out are caught in the act there's little they can do about it.
