Jury Will Now Decide on Death Penalty For Abortion Doctor

The conviction of a Philadelphia abortion doctor on first-degree murder charges is being praised by both sides in the abortion debate.

Supporters of legalized abortion say the case shows what desperate young women could face if abortion is driven underground with more restrictive laws.

The National Right to Life Committee says the case "has helped more people realize what abortion is really about."

The jury will return next week to hear evidence on whether Dr. Kermit Gosnell should get the death penalty.
