After days of flooding in and around Chicago, one image caught our eye.
A school bus driving through deep waters on Central Avenue between Des Plaines and Prospect Heights.
What was the driver thinking?
Barricades blocking flooded roads have been up since Thursday.
Still, Monday morning around 6:45, this happened.
A school bus plowing through the flood waters. A closer look shows "Illinois Central School Bus" on the side, so we went to their Chicago office looking for answers.
She didn't want to talk about, but did look at the video.
It got her attention enough to make some calls.
No luck, but she kept trying.
Bus Driver April Parker also couldn't believe what she was seeing. "Oh wow, and they still driving?"
Glenview school district 34--which is serviced by the bus--, tells us it is extremely concerned about the video.
A spokesperson for the bus company says there were no children on the bus.
He also says the driver told them there were no barricades this morning, and he thought it was safe to drive through.
The spokesperson says the company does not condone the driver's behavior.
That driver has been suspended until further notice.
