The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will host an alternatives public meeting concerning the proposed update to the I-10 Master Plan for, Holmes, Washington and Jackson counties Thursday, May 1, from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., in the First Baptist Church Student Center, 1300 South Boulevard, Chipley.
The purpose of the meeting is to present existing and future conditions and potential alternatives to meet future needs. There will be a brief presentation. The purpose of the Interstate (I-10) Master Plan is to develop an integrated transportation system that is economically efficient, environmentally sound, and moves people and goods in an energy-efficient manner. The plan will identify and recommend mobility enhancement alternatives that serve high speed, high volume travel, including long trips and regional commerce as well as outline a process of protecting the right-of-way necessary to accommodate future needs. Your involvement in the master planning effort will help to shape I-10 in this part of the state for decades to come. We welcome your input. FDOT and project staff will be available to discuss the project, answer questions, and receive comments.
