Grant Awarded to Ala. Resource Centers

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) -- The Alabama Civil Justice Foundation is awarding a two-year, $100,000 grant to the Alabama Network of Family Resource Centers.

The organization planned to make the announcement during a press conference Thursday morning at the First United Methodist Church in Montgomery.

In a release, Sue McInnish, executive director of the Alabama Civil Justice Foundation, says Grant funding will be split among 12 resource centers throughout the state including the Family Service and Resource Program in Montgomery, The Center for Families in Birmingham and the Family Services Center of Huntsville.

The money will be used to help the family resource centers provide social services, which range from technical assistance, training, advocacy, resources, and networking opportunities.
