Forecasters Monitoring Another Disturbance in Eastern Pacific

In 2013, there were many more named storms in the Eastern Pacific than the Atlantic, and while it may be too early to tell which one will be more active for 2014, another storm could soon be on the way.

The National Hurricane Center is monitoring a disturbance. As of this morning, it's Code Orange, with a 50 percent chance of forming into a tropical depression or storm in the next couple of days to the west of Mexico.

If it does become a storm or hurricane, it would be named Cristina.
