Florida State Troopers say more fatal car crashes happen on Labor Day than any other holiday.
Now, the State Highway Patrol is cracking down on dangerous drivers to eliminate the number of fatalities with the help of other states. FHP is joining forces with seven other states that line Interstate 10.
The program is called “10-8 on 10” and from Alabama to California, troopers will be out in full-force. The enforcement effort will begin Friday and last through Sept. 2.
FHP advices all drivers to get plenty of rest, obey speed limits, drive sober and alert, eliminate driver distractions and check tires and fluid levels in your car.
