Florida Congressman Trey Radel Back at Work

Florida Congressman Trey Radel is back at work and says re-election is the last thing on his mind.

Radel says he's focused on his family.

He says over the past few weeks, he feels like he's really gotten to know his wife and son.

The Congressman pleaded guilty to cocaine possession charges in November.

He was sentenced to a year of probation.

Radel was asked to resign in December, but refused to do so.

However, he says he did consider it.
“I gave it a lot of thought, I’ve had a lot of time to think, but in taking this a day at a time. I feel that I have the strength, the abilities and the capabilities to move forward and that's what I want to do U.S. Rep,” said Trey Radel.

Radel says he experimented with drugs in college and says he was treated for alcoholism.

He says he can't pinpoint when it became a problem.
