Michelle Obama says serving as First Lady is as close to the Oval Office as she's going to get.
A student at a "Take your Child To Work Day" event at the White House asked the First Lady if she would consider running for president.
Mrs. Obama gave an enthusiastic no.
"Absolutely not. No. Being president is a really hard job. And it's an important job. And when my husband is running for president, we're right in there. We're serving too. And once his terms are over, we'll go on to do other important things. There are so many ways you can help this country even if you're not president of the United States."
Another child asked her what she would change about being the First Lady.
Mrs. Obama says she would like to be able to leave the White House without a security entourage and motorcade.
