A wreck happened around 1:15 Saturday morning, when police say two cars struck each other near Nine Mile Road in Escambia County.
Both cars spun out, and one of the drivers, 57 year old Russell George Sheppard was killed on impact.
A passenger, 24 year old Kathryn Elizabeth Sheppard is in critical condition at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola.
The other driver, 28 year old Skylar Clint Davis, was sent to west Florida hospital and released.
Davis has been arrested for driving under the influence.
His bond is set at one hundred and fifteen thousand dollars
