Dothan, AL - A reward is now being offered in the disappearance of a young Dothan man.

Ryles Chapman hasn’t been seen or heard from since before Christmas.

Now a $10,000 dollar reward is being offered through Dothan Crimestoppers.

Friday, District Attorney Doug Valeska and Dothan Mayor Mike Schmitz joined the Chapman family to make the announcement.

Police say he was last seen on December 18 walking out of the Bocage neighborhood on Highway 84 West.

Police say the circumstances surrounding Chapman’s disappearance make it different than other missing person’s cases. However, they can’t give any details.

Over the past month, authorities have explored every possibility. They’ve searched nearby woods, neighborhoods and downtown Dothan areas.

“We’re getting an awful lot of leads and tips, but they’re always yesterday’s sightings. We need them immediately,” said Wes Chapman, Ryles’ father.

“Brother we love you. Please come home. You have two kids who miss you. I need my brother back. Please come home,” said Ryles’ brother, Wes Chapman, III.

Chapman is described as 6’1” and 180-pounds. He has blue eyes and brown hair, and has the word "Champman" tattooed across his back.

Police say if you see someone matching this description to call them immediately.

You can call Crimestoppers at 334-793-7000, or text the word ‘DACS’ and your tip to CRIME (274637)

The family will be forming a search party Saturday afternoon. If you'd like to help you can meet in the old Bruno’s parking lot at 2 p.m.
