An elk was captured on video attempting to cross one of Moscow's busiest highways, galloping, sliding and falling on the slippery road in front of cars.
The video, taken by the car video recorder, showed an elk that appeared unexpectedly at the side of a Moscow Ring Road, and then attempted to cross the street, startling drivers in relatively light traffic.
The animal stumbled in front of a car, then quickly got up on its feet and continued on galloping along cars to the amusement of drivers.
The appearance of elk on Moscow roads is not uncommon.
In February of last year local news outlets reported that police intervention was required to keep an entire family of elk from crossing Moscow's MKAD.
