Today was the Dothan Rotary Club's 35th annual Christmas luncheon.

Rotary members served more than 800 seniors from across the Wiregrass a Christmas meal.

The event did more than just honor seniors, Rotarians made sure children in the Wiregrass will have a Merry Christmas as well.

The rotary club collected toys for 128 foster children in the Department of Human Resources.

"I think it is very nice for everyone who can to bring a gift for the children because there are so many children who don't have anything for Christmas and we are just blessed to help our children because you never know what that might mean to a child," said Pearl Exum, Cottonwood senior citizen.

Dothan Rotary Club President David Hanks says this luncheon is a good way for the seniors to get out and enjoy themselves
